The West Bengal School Service Commission Act, 1997 (West Bengal Act IV 1997) enacted by Notification No. 936-L dated 1.4.1997 came into force with effect from 01.11.1997 for the purpose of recruitment of Teachers including Headmasters / Headmistresses of Jr. High / High / Higher Secondary Schools in recognized non-Government aided Schools in West Bengal.The manner and scope of selection of person for appointment to the post of Teacher shall be guided by the West Bengal School Service Commission (Selection of Persons for Appointment to the Post of Teachers) Rules, 2007.............More

Final Merit List(Panel & Waiting List) for the post of Assistant Teachers in Schools(Excluding Madrasah) Except Work Education under 8th RLST(AT), 2007 has been published on 4 th August,2008.

Final Merit List for the post of HeadMaster/HeadMistress under 8th RLST(HM), 2007 has been published on 23rd July, 2008.

Advertisement for the post of Assistant Teacher under 9th RLST(AT), 2008 has been published on 27th August, 2008.The application forms along with brochures will be available from the designated bank branches of U.B.I from 30th August, 2008 upto 13th September, 2008. The filled-in application forms will be submitted to such bank branches upto 13th September, 2008 from where the intending candidates have purchased the forms.The written examination will be held on 21st December, 2008............More

Kindly read Sl. No.(ii) of 3-YEAR COURSE under "Particulars of Higher Studies (for Pass category)" in item No. 16(B) of the Original Application Form as "With Hons." instead of "Part-I of Hons."

Kindly read the subject code of ECO-GEOGRAPHY (Hons./PG) under CODE LIST-2 at Page No.5 of the Brochure meant for 9th RLST(AT) 2008 as 40 instead of 36
